A homemade gluten-free ravioli recipe? Could there be one that works? (Hint: yes!) Now that I’ve gotten a recipe for homemade gluten-free pasta to work, it was time to figure out if that same recipe could be used to make some unbelievably tasty gluten-free ravioli. Okay. It’s raviolo. If you are looking at the […]
I just had the most fantastic backyard garden summer harvest, and I needed to come up with a couple of recipes to preserve the copious amounts of eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and fresh herbs that I gathered. (These recipes are gluten free, of course. I probably don’t need to mention that in every post, but I often […]
The recipe for this herb puree needs its own post because it and variations on it are useful all the time. This one has basil and parsley, but this basic idea is great whenever you want to use any herb flavor–from cilantro (awesome on soups, corn salad and on tacos, especially when you do a […]
I’ve tried a lot of GF pastas. A lot. Back when I used to eat gluten, my favorite thing in the world, my happy place, and my comfort food was a big bowl of pasta. A quick meal, even something as simple as a cellophane noodle salad, can be unbelievably rewarding. Summer here can be extremely hot, but after a lifetime […]
My family and I were making these awesome pork tacos for a party that my parents were hosting, and we wound up trimming a ton of fat off the pork butts before we used the meat to make a slow-cooked pork and hatch chili taco that was pretty much out of this world. Rather than […]
Pickled peppers, well, any pickled vegetable really, are some of my favorite things to add to a meal. They could really be classified as one of those “secret ingredients” that I just love to throw into a dish to just completely change the flavor of the whole thing. Adding a few pickled peppers, or maybe some […]
