Hi Readers! I’m working on organizing my recipes onto one page so that people coming to my site can find what they’re looking for really easily, and I’d love to get some feedback from you!
What I want to do is organize things in the way that makes the most sense for people wanting to find something to make. Do you think I should organize everything into very specific sections (by course or by dietary preference, etc.), or just into big sections, like I did on this recipe page? My thinking with the organization there is that people who aren’t exactly sure what they’re looking for, or are just visiting this blog for the first time will run across a lot of different ideas that might work for what they want to do.
What do you think? Is this a solid way to organize the recipes (at least until I have hundreds of them)? Is it just too much and a simple list index would be better?
Recipe Index: Looking for feedback!
Let me know what you would like to see!
I’m working on finding the best way to present the recipes, and I definitely haven’t found that yet. The way that this style works is that you have to click on the recipe title itself to get to the link. If you click on the image, you just get a popup of the pic. Not so user friendly. If you’re a food blogger, have you found something that works really well and also looks good? There just isn’t anything that really calls out as being both attractive and fairly idiot-proof. (I need idiot-proof!!)
Thank you in advance! I really want to make this space easy to use and fun to play with, so please let me know what you think!
