I absolutely love the week between the 18th and 25th of December! Containing not only Christmas Eve and Christmas, but also part of Chanukah and my birthday, this is a great week for fun and celebration! Holiday parties with family and friends, and amazing birthday celebration as well.

This year included a trip to the San Francisco to see The Nutcracker at the War Memorial Opera House in seats so amazing that we were practically in the orchestra and onstage (this production is amazing. Get to it if you can! The set design alone is mind-blowing!), a trip out to Tomales Bay for early morning Hog Island oysters and beer, plus fun food like Cowgirl Creamery cheeses, delicious prosciutto from Fatted Calf, and Dad’s homemade pizza and hot chocolate, which are truly the best in the world (which is exactly why I wanted them for my birthday!).

Along with all of that fun, there have been parties, friends and family in from out of town, and loads of amazing food and wine along the way. This really is the most wonderful time of the year!
